Ai is My Enemy

Ai is My Enemy

AI is My Enemy

That is what I originally thought when ChatGPT and ai-powered tools started popping up. I thought, I’ve trained and worked hard for years to be really good at what I do and now people with no talent can just tell a computer “Write an article about widgets. Make a graphic of a woman holding a widget. Write a tweet about the widget article.”. Magically the content they request is produced and actually pretty good.

Will AI replace me? My friends? My family? How many of us will be negatively affected by this advancement in technology?

A Different Outlook

I am reminded of a few quotes:

Do not get consumed, giving your energy toward things that are not in your control.

AI will not replace people. People who utilize AI will replace people who do not.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

These words brought peace to my frustration. After all, I am a techie; I needed to start exploring these new tools.

How Does the AI Water Feel?

ChatGPT has become my goto tool when I need to search for answers, not Google, not Siri, not Alexa. You can just talk to it like a human and for the most part it understands what you are trying to say, unlike those other tools mentioned which are more of “yes you can talk like a human but really you need to speak in the form of a command”.

If you are not sure what information it needs to be able to help you with a task, then just ask it what it needs and it will tell you. It truly is like having a human assistant who is super knowledgable.

My inspiration for writing this article was that I wanted to share how ai did writing code, but I don’t want that to be here at the end of an article. Not everyone reads this far, and I don’t want you to miss it! So stay tuned for part 2.
